Overlying wrapper with words "Armed Forces Souvenir Book" on front displays handling wear. ; Introductory statements by Marshall Field president Hughston M. McBain and vice president Luther H. Hodges (later governor of North Carolina and U.S. Secretary of Commerce). Color illustrations of WWII medals, other decorations, and insignia. Pictorial and historical record of employees of Marshall Field's many mills, warehouses, and factories who did military service during the war comprises the majority of the book. Both men and women are shown, with Black employees who served relegated to the end. Black and white photographs of the exteriors of mills and warehouse. Remainder of the book honors the company's production for wartime use. ; 10.25" tall; 116 pages.
