Sound binding. Front hinge paper cracked but underlying webbing is holding. Hole in ffep. Writing on front paste-down. Text clean, tanned. Maroon cloth over boards is edge rubbed with heavier wear at corner tips and top/bottom of spine. Gilt lettering on spine is rubbed but still fairly bright. Writing on title page: "W. O. Pierce." Remains of small label on rear pastedown. This appears to be a fictional story representing the state of the Methodist, or Methodist Episcopal, Church in the late 1800's. 7.75" tall; 435 pages; MISSING.
